GIRLS PLAY FLAG FOOTBALL (GPFF) was designed for Girls to learn and love the game of football from an early age. The achievements from Women in College, and professional sports has created possibilities these young student athletes never dreamt possible before. Join us on our journey to create high quality flag football league for girls ages 4-17 throughout Kansas and Missouri!
We are onto our 5th season! With 15+ colleges now offering Girls Flag Football programs, the opportunity will continue to grow for our daughters! This initiative is in place to contribute toward a revolution for the sport of football! We could not be more excited about the opportunity this will create for our communities, and the growing interest from the community has created incredible partnerships and tons of support from every direction to create something special! Let's get these girls out on the field!
What's Included? Chiefs' reversible jersey, flag belt, and a 7- week season!
Practice/Games are Back-to-Back on the Same Day (2-hr block). Play on Saturday at Notre Dame de Sion HS! A 6 Week Season with 7 practices/ 6 games including a Divisional Tournament!
This is a 5v5, non-contact, recreational format. We try to limit teams to 8-10 players to maximize playing time. There are no try-outs, everyone participates! State and National Tournaments are also available!
PARENTS & COACHES: Rosters will be sent to coaches’ week of Meet & Greet. Exact schedules will be created and posted to the website following the Meet & Greet. Practices take place one hour prior to game time (2-HR commitment) each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all!
WE NEED COACHES! Our program relies on volunteer parents to coach our teams! We encourage all parents interested in volunteering to do so during the registration process. We will provide several resources along with a comprehensive coach's meeting to ensure all coaches have a fun and successful season!
FIRST TIME COACHING? We got your back! This program is new, and the players we are creating it for are new! WE provide all the tools necessary to ensure you are set up for success, even if you don't know anything about football! We are rolling out our biggest resource this season, The MOJO APP was created to help create a unique experience. Mojo creates practices based on your input, team size, and knowledge of football. With short videos on drills, techniques, and plays, the Mojo is your coaching assistant in your pocket. We will send out a comprehensive email containing all the features the mojo app has to offer closer to the season. See our website for more information, under the MOJO tab.
Exact schedules will be created and posted 1-2 weeks prior to the season start date. Practices take place one hour prior to game time (2-HR commitment) each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all!
*Communication is key to ensure the success of the league. Over the course of this season, we will be sending you emails with information you will need this season. Due to this being a mass email system, please check your filters to make sure that messages do not get lost in your junk mail folder. If you have any friends/family who would like to register, please have them do so soon. Teams are generally formed by school and grade so classmates can play on the same team. Additionally, we honor friend requests when possible. After the deadline, players are placed in open spots, if any are available.
*Make-up will consist of double header games the following weekend in an NFL Flag tournament style format. Still a 2-hour commitment, with an hour's practice and two 24-minute games (12minute halves). Each team will have three (3) 30-second timeouts per game.
Registration will be from October 15th, 2022, through March 30th, 2023.
Late Registration will continue after and be dependent on open spaces left on teams with possible additional fees.
Season Start Date (Meet and Greet): April 15th, 2023
